27 months and 1 week
Since Matt had a day off, we had a nice long weekend of family activities. We went to Sea World and enjoyed the rides. We got to go on a nice hike with our friends, and finally we went to a pumpkin patch with rides and a petting zoo. We even took her swimming because it was 90 degrees here in October. Chloe is very excited for Halloween. We ask her, "what will you say when you go to the door on Halloween?" and she says "May I have some candy please?". She is too funny. Luckily, she is finally adjusting to her toddler bed is sleeping much better and is finally taking naps again. In the middle of November, Chloe has her first ballet recital, so each night she practices her routine with us. They are doing a short little dance for the "Wheels on the Bus" song. She gets really into it, so it will be fun to see how she does with an audience. Chloe has been very cuddly and affectionate lately. She will just come up to us and hug us and kiss us and say "I love you".

27 months old
The pumpkin patch with Chloe's Mommy and Me class was this week. This is the 3rd year she has gone to the pumpkin patch so it was fun to see how she has grown over the years. Click here to see previous pumpkin patch photos 2008 and 2007 . She picked out the smallest little pumpkin. I took Chloe to pick out her Halloween costume this year. She is going to be Dr. Chloe (baby doctor). We bought her a medical kit with supplies, band-aids, and bandages to fix her Dolly. She loves wearing it to dress up around the house. We also got Matt a Sea World pass so we took Chloe this past weekend. She enjoyed going on the rides with Daddy and watching the dolphins.
It has been a difficult week getting Chloe adjusted to her toddler bed. We are used to her 3 hour naps in the afternoon, but it is a lot harder to enforce now that she can get out of her bed herself. She tries to make any excuse to not to be in bed. On a positive note, it had made her almost 90% potty trained since she can get up and go potty when she needs to. She doesn't need diapers for nap time and can go the whole night without a diaper. The only part I need to work on is when she is out of the house.

Grandparents Visit
Besides going to Yosemite, we did some fun things around San Diego while Chloe's grandparents were in town. We went to Belmont Park at Mission Beach and took Chloe on the rides. She is really enjoying them much more than when she was younger. We spent a day in Coronado
playing in the sand and walking around. We also took a walk in Ocean Beach down the pier while Chloe got some practice riding her tricycle, followed by a yummy burger at Hodad's. Chloe had such a fun time entertaining her grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa taught her how to play Go Fish. She recognizes her numbers pretty well and she knows when the numbers match.
While Grandma and Grandpa were here, we turned Chloe's bed into a toddler bed so it gives her freedom to get up and go to the bathroom in the morning or during nap time. She is doing great at night time(she can even go all night without a diaper and naptime), but she struggles for nap time if she doesn't want to go to sleep. I think it will take a few days for her to adjust to this, but I think it will really help to finish potty training her.

Yosemite Trip
We spent the past few days in Yosemite National Park camping with Matt's parents. We rented a van and drove from San Diego (about an 8hr drive). We stayed in tent cabins in Yosemite Valley. We went on some nice hikes and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The weather was nice and cool and it really felt like fall. I was able to take a photography class offered through the Ansel Adams Gallery. Here are a few highlights from our trip (I took over 400 pictures that I need to weed through). Chloe had a great time spending time with her grandparents!
Chloe did great on the car ride there...she just talks to her dolls and sings to herself and points out everything she sees along the way. She is still progressing with the potty training, even on our trip.
