26 months and 2 weeks

Lots of activities this past week! We started a new art class on top of her normal classes that she has. We also started a playgroup at the park that focuses on learning preschool activities (each week we focus on one letter of the alphabet). She is doing great with letter recognition of uppercase and lower case letters. She knows that her name starts with C and her last name starts with G.

Now that Chloe has started to pedal her tricycle, we have been taking her out every day to ride around the neighborhood.

We had 2 birthday parties this weekend, one of them was a pirate party for her friend Audrey. She got to go on a treasure hunt and find buried treasure.

26 months and 1 week

The fall session of ballet started this past week. Chloe gets to go to class with her friend Evyn (who we babysit for on Tuesdays) and they had such a great time dancing together. Since Chloe is familiar with the routine, she followed along and listened to the teacher for the whole class (she used to try to distract her friend Audrey in class). She will have her first ballet recital in November at the end of the session. We had Mommy and Me class, a park class at Mission Bay Park, and just hung out indoors at the bookstore another day last week. It has been very hot here! We spent a nice relaxing day at the beach on Saturday and Matt took Chloe to the Chula Vista Nature Center to participate in kid crafts for the day.

26 months old

We had a great week of potty training! Finally Chloe is going poopy on the potty! She is very proud of herself:) We went to the park and storytime on Tuesday with her friend Evyn that I have been babysitting once a week. The girls are the same age and have such a fun time with each other. We had an indoor Mommy and Me class on Wednesday, a new outdoor Mommy and Me on Thursday that meets at the park, and Friday we went to Kidsville to play with some friends. Even though there were so many cool toys to play with, Chloe wanted to play in the baby section with her baby dolls.

We had a great day in Coronado at the park, beach, and lunch on Saturday and BBQ at night with some friends. I signed up to take a few free Photoshop classes and digital photography classes so I can learn to take better pictures with my new camera! Hopefully I will see a difference in a few weeks:) A special thank you to both Grandma's this week....Chloe was so excited to get packages in the mail with new books from Grandma and a package from Nana with a tutu and dress up shoes and jewelry. Chloe loves dancing in the living room with tutu on like a ballerina.

25 months and 3 weeks

Chloe has been a busy girl this week...two Mommy and Me classes, story time, My Kids Clubhouse, Sea World, the beach on Labor Day. We have officially packed up her cloth diapers and wipes after using them for 2 years and now we are only using underwear and pull-ups! Potty training is still going great! As a little reward, I took Chloe to Sea World to buy a Prairie Dawn doll, her favorite Sesame Street character. Yes, she has a very strange obsession with Prairie Dawn for some reason. We read Matt's old Sesame Street books to her everyday so she loves Prairie Dawn. While I do her hair in the morning she gets to watch about 5 minutes of Prairie Dawn videos, but lately before she goes to bed she just cries and says, "Where did Prairie Dawn go?" Now she has her very own doll that she can't be separated from. I haven't taken too many pictures lately since she seems to be walking around the house without clothes on from potty training, but here are few pictures of her ice painting (frozen water with food coloring) and her artwork.
