Happy Halloween!

Chloe was a kitty for her first Halloween! We went to a Halloween party this afternoon with Nicole and Alissa and then later at night we stayed home to pass out candy. We also and took a short walk around the neighborhood so Chloe could see all of the kids in costumes. I can't wait until next year to take her trick or treating!

15 weeks old/3 months

This week was very long! We were stuck in the house for the first 3 days of the fires without going outside because it smelled like a campfire and ashes were falling from the sky. It was unsafe to be outside. The fire was within 5 miles from our house, but luckily we were never evacuated. By Wednesday we were going stir crazy from being trapped, so we headed out to Phoenix to visit Kari. This was Chloe's first long trip away from home and she did great! It was nice to be able to get out of the house while we were there. Here are a few recent pictures of Chloe, waking up from her nap, during tummy time, and with Zane (and their matching monkeys).

14 weeks old/3months

This week has been very busy between our classes and play dates. Chloe has still been sleeping great through the night in her crib, but I am afraid that she might be teething soon. Her hands are constantly in her mouth and she continues to drool all over the place. This week I noticed that she likes to stick her tongue out too! The photographer had a hard time getting her to put her tongue back in her mouth and hands away from her mouth:) This is a picture of her in her Halloween costume (she is a kitty).

Happy 3 Months!

After Chloe rolled over in her class in the morning, I was trying to get her to roll over again for me. It just wasn't happening. She doesn't mind being on her tummy at first, but by the end she starts freaking out. Maybe another time I will catch her!

13 Weeks Old/3 Months

It seems as if Chloe has changed so much in the last week! We finally made the switch from the bassinet in our room to her own crib in her own room. I noticed she would fall asleep around 8:30 pm and sleep until around 5:30 am last week, so I thought it was time to make the switch. She did great this week in her crib! (I did not sleep very well on the other hand because I can hear every little peep with the baby monitor, but I am getting used to it). We went to story time this week a few times and we also signed up for another Mommy and Me class at Southwestern College, which is 5 minutes from our house. It is taught by a baby sign language teacher and we get to do all sorts of fun activities like singing, baby signing, playing, parent discussions, learning to make our own baby food, baby yoga, and baby massage. On Wednesday, while Chloe was laying on her tummy, she rolled over to her back 2 times! I was very excited for her, but I tried to get it on video, but she won't do it again for me. I will put up a new video of her just on her tummy. She still doesn't love being on her tummy, but she has more control of her neck. Chloe is a lot more animated now. She grabs her toes while she lays on her back, she stands up when she is on our lap, and she is generally a very happy baby. She is also drooling all over the place and her hands are constantly in her mouth, which makes me think this may be the beginning stages of teething. I finally bought my baby carrier which I am very excited about (called the ERGO baby carrier). I took her for a walk in it tonight and she fell asleep right away!

12 Weeks Old

This week Manina came to visit Chloe! We went to Balboa park one day and today we went to the pumpkin patch in her mommy and me class. It was very cute-she got her first pumpkin (she liked it so much, she tried to lick it!) We went on a tractor ride, fed the goats, and went through a corn maze too. Chloe is getting much stronger with her head. She can hold it up longer during tummy time.
