April was a very busy month for us! I was able to visit Kari for Easter weekend before starting my new job teaching college algebra at the University of Phoenix one night at week. Chloe spent time with Matt biking and going to the park, and celebrating Easter. We also felt our first earth quake on Easter! We were able to find out at the beginning of the month that we are expecting a boy so we are very excited! Little James David (we are pretty sure that will be his name) is due on August 29th, but he will probably be delivered the week before since I am going to have to have another c-section. Chloe was in denial about having a brother at first since she really wanted a sister, but she is happy she is having a brother now. She gives my belly kisses everyday and talks to "Jamesy" her nickname for him. We had some free tickets to Disneyland from volunteering last month, so we took a little weekend trip up to Anaheim. We went to Downtown Disney the first night and walked around and then spent the entire day on Saturday at Disney. We had so much fun going on rides, meeting the characters, and walking around. On our way home on Sunday, we stopped at Laguna Beach to have a picnic lunch and walk around near the beach. It was so beautiful there so we hope to go back there soon! Our weeks have been filled with the usual activities, Mommy and Me, ballet, gymnastics, parks, and this month Chloe started Bumble Bee Sports (soccer and basketball). She has fun practicing and running around during class. At the end of the month my mom and her friend Iva came out to watch Chloe for the week while Matt and I went to Hawaii (Oahu and Maui). We stayed in Honolulu for a few days and then flew to Maui for Matt's company's awards ceremony. It was so nice to get away and Chloe didn't really ask for us until the day we came home since she was having so much fun with Nana and Iva! We went to the beach, walked around the shops in Honolulu, went to Pearl Harbor, Hiked Diamond head Crater, and then relaxed at the resort once we got to Maui. This was probably our last vacation alone for awhile, but really appreciated the time away.
