We are now officially done with birthday parties for Chloe. Yesterday we had a little party with all of her baby friends in San Diego. We tried to have a "green" party to be more environmentally friendly. So we invited our friends to the park across from our house and we had lots of healthy finger foods, snacks and drinks, we used reusable plates/cups, and I made some cupcakes in ice cream cones which were easy to eat (and no waste). We told all of our friends in honor of our green event to just bring a used book for a book exchange instead of a gift so that everyone goes home with a different book (and Chloe gave everyone a new book as a favor). We decorated cloth tote bags with fabric paints to take home our books in. We tried to recycle as much as possible and Matt even went to pick up litter at the park in the morning. We borrowed some fun toys from our friends and we had a really great time! This week Chloe is getting top molars which has been upsetting her sleep again. They have finally broke through, but she was in a lot of pain at night. We also tried using the potty again in the morning and she seems to like using again. So we will keep trying as long as she is interested.
We went to the San Diego Zoo this past weekend and took Chloe to the petting zoo since she really seems to love animals now. She had a great time petting all of the goats and every animal that she saw she said "moo". It was so cute (there is a video that I posted last week). We also took her on the train in Balboa park. We have had a busy week with classes, playdates, and planning the party so it will be nice to relax this weekend!
