I can't believe it is almost May and I am just now posting Christmas pictures! I am going to try my best to update the past few months as soon as I can. I am glad that I take so many pictures because I barely remember what was going on with two busy kids. Christmas time is an exciting time of year in our house. Chloe was especially excited about it because she is at an age where she really understands what is going on. We put up our Christmas tree, made a gingerbread castle, decorated the house, saw Christmas lights, met Santa, and Chloe performed with her preschool class in a Christmas performance (Video). She wanted Santa to bring her a doll for Christmas, and that is what she got along with a lot of other new toys for the kids to share. We went on our first vacation as a family to Disneyland to see the Christmas decorations and lights. We had a great time, James was a great baby and slept most of the time. Matt and I took turns taking Chloe on the rides. Chloe's loved having her hair and makeup done at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This trip was definitely all about Chloe and trying our best to make the holiday into our own special family time since we couldn't be close to our family this year. We celebrated Christmas Eve with our friends and Christmas day we just relaxed and let the kids enjoy their new toys. James rolled over for the first time on Christmas Day to see his present!

It seemed as if in November we were back on schedule again. We stayed busy during the day with activities, driving Chloe to and from preschool 3 days a week, ice skating 2 days a week, gymnastics (Gymnastics Video) and ballet (Ballet Video). She would take good naps during the day because she was so exhausted. Sometimes both kids would nap at the same time! This month James started sleeping 5-6 hours at a time which was great, but at first it was at the wrong time (from 5:30-11:30pm, and then he would be up all night wanting to eat when I was ready for bed). Finally I was able to get him to sleep from 8:30pm-2:30am for a least a few weeks. James now loves playing with his toys. He is grasping for toys and chewing on them. We even were able to put him in his exersaucer (which he can stand up and play with all of the toys around him). He loves standing so this is a great place for me to put him when I need to cook dinner. At 3 months old, he is 12lbs 10 oz (35th percentile for weight) and 22.5 inches (10th percentile for height) so he is on the small side right now. By the end of the month James was grabbing his feet.

We had some family pictures taken of all of us this month. We celebrated Thanksgiving with some friends this year and had a great dinner! Chloe's favorite thing to do this month is to dress up in her "party dress" as she calls it and tells me to put party music on. She dances and spins around the living room showing off her gymnastics, ballet, and ice skating moves. She also has developed in interest in writing her name, so she practices whenever she can as well as drawing self portraits of herself. Chloe got the toy catalog in the mail after Thanksgiving and was so excited that Christmas was coming soon. She circled all of the toys that she wanted for herself as well as things that she thought James, Matt, and I would like too for Christmas.
