Happy Thanksgiving!

We got back from Phoenix on Wednesday night. Chloe did great in the car-she slept about 4 hours total. We went to the Children's museum in Phoenix and it is really awesome. We had a great time with Kari, but it is nice be home.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We had a nice relaxing day at Andy and Nicole's house. Andy's mom and brother were in town, and our friend Jon was there too. We had a great dinner and Chloe enjoyed her first Thanksgiving being able to eat real food. Here is the before picture in her pretty dress, and then shortly after eating soup, and then a little bit later she ate more and then smashed the rest of the food in her face, in her hair, and on her tray. It was pretty funny!

This week Chloe is eating better with a spoon to feed herself and drinking out of a cup with minimal accidents. She goes down the stairs on her tummy by herself, and she is still signing when she wants something. It seems like she is learning and repeating words everyday. Matt likes to take Chloe for bike rides now that he got a bike seat for Chloe. We can't wait to come home in few weeks!

16 months and 1 week

We are out in Phoenix visiting our good friends Kari, Kib, and the two boys Zane and Ryder this week. Chloe is having a blast playing with the boys and their toys. She is talking up a storm. This week she learned how to turn in a circle. Love this picture of Chloe (Kari has been letting me play with her nice camera).

16 months old

Ha ha...Chloe tells me now when she wants her diaper changed. She goes into my diaper bag and gets out a diaper, her pad, a bag, and then lays down. She also tell me "pe-ew" if it is a stinky diaper. We ended our Mon/Wed Mommy and Me class with one teacher, but we found we are getting a new teacher so our class can continue!! On Tuesday we had an exciting day. We got to watch Alissa while Andy and Nicole were at the hospital delivering the baby. We did big sister activities with Alissa, went to Tara's for a fun lunch/art playdate, and then we later went to the hospital to meet baby Nathan! Here is a picture of Chloe and Alissa heading over to Tara's and then Chloe riding on Audrey's tricycle. This weekend we bought Chloe a bike seat so she can ride on the back of Matt's bike. She loves it! I will post some pictures this week.

15 months and 4 weeks

Over the weekend we bought Chloe a little kitchen and she loves it. We put it in our kitchen so she play while I am cooking and doing dishes. Three days this week we watched my friend's daughter Evyn for a few hours in the morning. The girls had so much fun playing together since Evyn is only 4 months older. We took her to all of our classes (here is a picture of Chloe, Evyn, and Mackenzie from Mommy and Me class). We went to a playdate at Chloe's friend Christian's house and played with all his fun toys. She loved sitting in his car. We decorated sugar cookies today with colored frosting and sprinkles. Chloe loved helping! Monday is our last day of our Mommy and Me class at the college near our house. We have been going since Chloe was 3 months old, but it got canceled, so I don't know what we are going to do without it! Not too much going on this weekend, just going to rest and hoping Nicole and Andy have their baby soon so we can watch Alissa:)

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun week with the Halloween festivities in all of our classes. It has been so hot here that we had a costume for day time (Pebbles Flinstone) and then a costume for

night time (Ladybug). We had a Halloween potluck in our Wed Mommy and Me class, Thurs was a Halloween carnival with fun games for the kids to play, and we celebrated Halloween in our music class, had a Halloween party with our meetup group at My Kids Clubhouse, and finally we went trick or treating at our friend Summer's house with some of Chloe's buddies (pictured on the couch Ben, Allen, Chloe, and Gavin). The kids looked so cute in their costumes. We went to a bunch of house trick or treating but Chloe didn't seem to care about what was going on. She had more fun seeing the other kids in costume and ringing the door bell. I think next year she might understand what's going on. We also got away with not giving her any candy:)

Chloe has been learning her body parts for the past few weeks. If you ask her where her head, fingers, toes, ears, nose, eyes, mouth, or hair she can point them out to you.

15 months old and 2 weeks

Chloe is growing. I just weighed her the other day and she weighs 24.6 lbs! We just bought Chloe a little table and chair set for our kitchen. She loves it so much. She eats her snacks there, reads her books, plays with her toys, and colors there. This week Chloe learned how to do the sign for baby. It is so cute! She is also starting to say 2 or 3 word phrases such as "night, night, mommy" and "It's a kitty" and "Here you go" and "brush teeth". Her vocab increases every day. We are still doing all of our classes and this past weekend we went to Alissa's 3rd Birthday party at My Gym. We had a lot of fun! Here's a few pictures of Chloe at the party.

15 months and 1 week

Some pictures from last weekend hiking with Chloe in Torrey Pines. She actually was able to walk part of the trail with us. Classes as usual all week. One day we got to go to another pumpkin patch and over the weekend we went to a Halloween party. We were the Flintstones: Pebbles, Wilma and Fred. I made Matt and Chloe's costume and our

accessories which was fun.

Chloe has been talking up a storm. Her brain is a little sponge for new words. She also loves to try on her shoes from the closet, put her pants and hats on, and feed herself with a spoon. And she also makes sure we are on track before leaving the house- she hands us a diaper to change her before we leave, spreads it on the ground and tries to climb on top of it, she hands us the sunscreen to put her on her...she knows the routine. She sings the clean up song and does the signs for it and puts her books away and before bed she sings her good night song. This week I finally took the last of her bottles away from her, so she only drinks from a cup now. We were giving her one bottle before she went to bed for comfort, but she really didn't miss it at all. I should have tried sooner.
