8 months and 2 weeks

Chloe is still moving backwards but she seems like she might crawl within the next few weeks. She tries to pull her self up to standing. Since the weather has been so nice at night, Matt, Chloe, and I go to the park across the street on the swings and then we go for a nice walk. Here are a few pictures from this week: Chloe at park and then from My Gym (with her teacher and riding the airplane!)

Happy Easter 3-23-08

As much as we missed everyone back home in Rochester, we enjoyed our Easter with friends in San Diego. It was a beautiful 75 degree day so we had a picnic at Mission Beach park. Here are a few pictures of Chloe and Alissa.

8 months and 1 week

Chloe is talking now! She first started saying "dadada" to Matt on Wednesday and now that is all she says. (No mama yet). She also learned how to sit up from being on her tummy last Saturday (she claps for herself when she gets up-it is very funny). She is still scooting backwards, but maybe someday she will crawl. She is also very interested in feeding herself this week. We started with cheerios and she has learned to grasp it and put it in her mouth. Now she is also feeding herself peas, pieces of tofu, banana, and small pieces of pasta. Here are a few pictures from the Carlsbad flower fields. For Easter, we are going to have a picnic to enjoy the beautiful weather. Happy Easter!

8 months old

Chloe is 8 months old now! She is clapping her hands like a pro(pictured), scooting backwards and in circles on her tummy, reaching for toys, putting everything in her mouth, eating a variety of foods, and growing everyday. I have been teaching Chloe some basic sign language and she is able to do the sign for "eat" and "more". It is so exciting to see her being able to communicate with us. She is working on her 2nd tooth coming in this week, so she has been a little fussy the past couple of days. Our schedule has been a little messed up this week because of the time change, but we are finally readjusting again. Just when I thought we were getting on a good schedule too! We had a our last mommy and me class on Monday, so that will free up some of our time for about a month (it starts up again during the month of April) and we have been trying to enjoy the nice weather in San Diego. We went on an Easter Egg Hunt on Friday in our class (Chloe pictured hunting for eggs). That was a lot of fun! Check out some of our new videos of Chloe.

34 weeks old/ 7 months

Chloe will be 8 months old next week! She is getting so big! Here's a picture of her hanging on the bars at My Gym and another picture of her playing with her toys at home. This week she is sleeping so much better at night. She is only waking up usually once, but last night she slept from 8pm-5am! I think this will last until she starts teething again. Chloe is so full of energy during the day. I love to see her so happy. Her new trick is waving and clapping her hands, especially during her gym class when they play music. She is also drinking water from a sippy cup now by herself. It won't be long before she starts crawling. She is rolling and flipping all over the floor to reach her toys.

33 weeks old/ 7 months

It's been a long week. Chloe was lucky enough not to get sick from me. We have been working on getting her to sleep back in her crib. After the teething for the last few weeks, she has slowly worked her way back into our bed in the middle of the night again and was waking up multiple times a night. Finally by the end of this week, she is only waking up once a night and she is sleeping the rest of the night in her crib. I still need to cut out the once a night feeding, but that is our next obstacle. Other than the sleeping issues at night, she has been very active moving around! She spends most of the day playing on her belly reaching for toys or trying to get things that are not toys (like phones, my keys, or the remote). This week we took a field trip with her class to the Birch Aquarium and she loved seeing all of the fish! She continues to love her swim lessons and is a star student (I am going to put up a new video of her doing jumps in the pool). She has been trying new foods this week, including tofu! Daddy continues to teach her new tricks. This week it is walking with his help.

32 weeks old/ 7 months

This month seems to be flying by! Last week was a busy week with classes, parties, and playdates. Chloe is starting to scoot now! She is trying to push herself either forward or backward to get toys out of reach, so it won't be long before I need to start baby proofing my house. Here are a couple pictures of her smiling.
