It has been a fun month of birthday parties, more parties, and egg hunts! Chloe really enjoyed getting ready for Easter this year, preparing our eggs for the egg hunts and dyeing her own Easter Eggs. Even though it was only March, she is already planning her own birthday party this year. After visiting the Railroad Museum in Balboa Park, she has decided that she would like a train party, with a train cake and cupcakes, train crafts, and a train to ride at the park. She wants to turn 3 years old now so that she can start preschool. We signed her up to go 2 days a week from 9am-1pm starting in mid-June for preschool. I was able to check out the preschool and I think it will be a good fit for her. Since I am finally starting to show, Chloe is very excited about her baby sibling on its way. She kisses my belly and asks the baby questions..."Do you like that food, baby?" My friends Manina and Brent came to San Diego for a visit in late March and were able to bring their niece Madison out with us during the week. We went to the zoo, the flower fields, the park, and to dinner with them. Chloe loved spending time with baby Madison and really hoped for a baby sister after that. She was very good with her so I know that she will be a helpful big sister once the baby comes.

I have decided to update Chloe's blog once or twice a month now instead of every week. We have been so busy that I just can't keep up with it as much as before. Here are a few photos from February. Chloe got to go to a Valentine's day princess tea party with some friends from her Mommy and Me class. Chloe dressed as Snow White. They made princess crowns, wands, danced, listened to stories, and ate cupcakes and juice. We decided to buy Chloe a bicycle this month. One day while we were shopping at REI, she jumped on a bike and started riding it through the store. Apparently, she was ready for a bicycle so we found a cheap one on craigslist and she loves riding her big girl bike. Chloe loves her friends Gavin and Ben, she is quite the character and loves to do silly things to make her friends laugh.

She is becoming more inquisitive every day. She loves to ask question after question and she is usually not satisfied until I give her a detailed answer. We are letting her watch a little more TV now that she is older-she gets to watch a show in the morning for a few minutes while I fix her hair. Her favorites are Sid the Science Kid, Curious George, Super Why, Sesame Street , and Dinosaur Train. At night she gets to watch 10 minutes of Thomas the Train with Daddy before she goes to bed. We have to be careful with Chloe not to let her watch too much TV because she would sit in front of it all day if we let her. She loves to color, play with stickers, and playdough. She can spell her first and last name and she attempts to write her letters, basically she draws something and then says what letter it looks like. She is pretty good at drawing a C, O, D, X, V, U, W and M's. She can count to 20 and sometimes higher when she is in the mood (usually skipping the number 15).

30 months and 1 week (January 20, 2010)

Stretching in Ballet class
Shaking their sillies out
Chloe with some of her friends from class

We have started our new classes for the winter semester. We take Mommy and Me Mondays, Ballet Tuesdays, Preschool Co-op on Tuesdays, Wednesdays gymnastics and Finger painting, and Thursday and Friday are free to go to the park with friends. Chloe's new ballet class is adorable. There are 8 little girls in the class that have just as much energy as Chloe, so they are hilarious to watch (all between the ages of 2-3 years old). Chloe has gotten much better at listening to here teacher and I don't have to help her with the class.

2.5 years old! (30 months old) January 13, 2010

Shopping at "Wegmans" at the Strong Museum
Us on the steps of Sesame Street at the Strong Museum

Here are the last pictures from our trip to New York. We took Chloe to the Strong Children's Museum while we were in town. She got to shop at Wegmans, go on the carousel, listen to story time, play with the trains, and visit Sesame Street. We also took her bowling for the first time (she got to use a ramp and bumpers). For her first time bowling, she beat her Nana and almost beat Mommy:) We had a good flight home. Chloe was so glad to go to the park when she got home and we were glad to leave the snow behind us. Back to classes again! 2.5 is a fun age. She talks so much, plays independently, goes to the bathroom with little assistance, gets dressed, gets her own drinks, but she has major temper tantrums when she doesn't get her way.

Alissa came to join us sledding. The girls seemed to have more fun eating the snow!

Visiting the Bondi's in Rochester. Chloe and Alissa had fun playing dress up.

After Christmas we flew in to Rochester to visit for 2 weeks and to surprise Matt's mom for her 60th birthday. The plane ride was a little tough for me because there was some turbulence flying into Philadelphia, so I got sick on the plane. Luckily, I had this wonderful girl sitting next to us on the plane that held on to Chloe for me while the plane was shaking. Flying when I am pregnant can be tough, but I was just so glad that Chloe did great on the flights. The weather was pretty cold in Rochester, but we spent some time catching up with family and friends. Here's a bunch of pictures from the trip so far.

New scooter!

It has been so long since I have updated Chloe's blog! A lot has happened in the last month. The holidays were busy, I started a working part time at night, and we found out we are expecting in August! It looks like Chloe will have to share her blog soon! We are all very excited about the news. Chloe was told that Mommy has a baby in her belly and Chloe hopes that she has a baby sister. Finding out that we were expecting was the best Christmas present this year since we were trying for a few months. We enjoyed a nice relaxing holiday in San Diego this year. It was great! We went to a boat parade on the harbor and watched the boats decorated for Christmas, we saw Santa yet again at the library for story time. This time Chloe didn't cry when she saw him. Christmas Eve we saw Matt's family on the webcam and opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa, and Christmas morning we talked to Nana and Papa on the webcam and they watched Chloe open the rest of her gifts. I made a nice Christmas breakfast for us. The rest of the day we spent putting together new toys. Chloe made out pretty well this year for Christmas. She loved her new dolly Elizabeth from Santa. She also loves her dollhouse, scooter, and changing table. Later we spent Christmas over our friend's house for a nice dinner. It was nice not having to travel for Christmas day but we definitely missed our family.
