As nice as it was to be back in Rochester, I am so glad to be back home. We are finally unpacked and caught up with our sleep. Now that we are back home, our New Year's resolution is to get Chloe on some kind of schedule since she is still waking up at night. She seems to be eating constantly! We are feeding her cereal 2 times a day (oatmeal in the morning and rice in the evening). And I am getting ready to start making some veggies pretty soon. She may or may not be teething-I am still not sure, but everything goes in her mouth. She is loving all of her new toys! Chloe is also working on sitting up without support, but still needs a little help. It was so nice to see everyone in NY! Wishing everyone a prosperous and healthy New Year!

The last week in Rochester we were very busy. Matt flew in on the 22nd and we had a Christmas party at my parents house with all of the family. We had family portraits taken on Sunday and spent time with Matt's family. Christmas Eve we spent at Matt's house and Christmas day we were at my parent's house and at my Aunt Diane's. After Christmas, we spent the days between my parent's house and Matt's and trying to see all of our friends and family in between. The week went by so fast! My mom, Chloe, and I (pictured) went to the Strong Museum one day so that Chloe could see the butterfly conservatory. She loved it! Finally on New Year's day we flew back to San Diego at 6 am in the morning. It was a very long flight through Atlanta (2 hr 15 min) and then a 2 hour layover and then 4 hr 45 min flight to San Diego. Chloe did great, but I was so glad to be home!

Chloe and I are safely in Rochester since Tuesday of this week. Chloe did great on her first flight! She ate, slept, and entertained everyone. Now she is finally adjusting to the time change and is sleeping pretty well. We are having fun visiting with everyone. We have a ton of pictures, but I will post them later. We will busy this weekend with our parties and meeting many more friends and family. Happy Holidays!

22 weeks old/ 5 months!

Chloe is 5 months old! We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she weighs 13 lb 12 oz and is 25 inches long. I think I am going to try to introduce oat cereal for lunch and continue giving her rice cereal at night. After we get back from NY I will start giving her some vegetables. The doctor suggested introducing a cup at about 6 months old to get her used to it. I asked the doctor about her fussiness lately and she has seen in many children this age separation anxiety and they usually start teething at this age as well. So basically Matt and I have to do whatever it takes to keep her happy:) Chloe is rolling more this week. We didn't really do much this week since I am finally getting over my cold, but we did finish our Christmas shopping and went to a Christmas cookie party. See you all in NY in a few days!

We are leaving for NY in one week! I am very excited to come home. This past week Chloe and I have been busy Christmas shopping (I am almost done!). I took her to a few sign language story times at the library last week that were very cute. Matt and I took Chloe to Balboa park this weekend to December Nights, which is a big holiday celebration here. They have many types of cuisines from all over the world, holiday performances, the museums are free, and they have Christmas lights. She is finally able to sit upright in the baby carrier that I have and she loves looking around. She has rolled over from her tummy to her back a few more times and she is getting close to rolling from her back to her tummy. Chloe is more interested in her feet and she sucks on her toes (it's very cute). I really think she is teething now because she has been pretty miserable and still wakes up in the middle of the night. I was sick all weekend so I am hoping she doesn't get sick while we are traveling.

20 weeks old/ 4months

Here's Chloe first Santa photo that we had taken. She wasn't scared at all this year since she doesn't know any better. This past week we started our Christmas shopping (I am only 1/4 finished) and we have pretty much stayed at the house most of the week trying to get Chloe to take naps in her crib. She has been waking up in the middle of the night about every other night and I am so frustrated! Some days she refuses to take any naps in her crib and other days she will take 2 naps in the crib. I am thinking that it is either caused from teething or from a growth spurt. This past weekend Kib and Zane came to visit on their way back to Phoenix, so Chloe had a friend to play with for a few days. Chloe is still very social so I can't wait for her to meet the whole family for Christmas.
